The results of the election are in and our new first year director is Sherron Campbell. Congratulations Sherron and thanks to everyone for running for the position.
It’s that time of year again. The year 1 to 4 reception will be held on Thursday, September 20th at the Ramada Hotel at 6:30pm. This event is a great opportunity to meet with professionals from the industry and get to know one another. The keynote speaker is Mr. Mark Leier, P.Eng from Sasktel and there will be other student groups such as Engineers Without Borders, the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race team. The dress code is business attire, and it’s sure to be a good time. Hope to see you all there.
Frosh week was a success with first year students thoroughly baffled by the mock exam, soaked with water and exhausted from the 24 hour scavenger hunt. The Yellow team won with 23, 500 points. Coming in a close second place with 23, 050 points was the Lime Green team. To claim your prize see Ariele.
Thanks to everyone for coming out and stay tuned for more engineering events!

There is a stack of free books explaining what the energy industry is like, and where it’s going in the next 10 years. The title is “How the Energy Industry Works - An Insider’s Guide.” We received about 60 of them for free, so if you’re interested in a career in the energy industry stop by and pick up a book.
They are all in engineering lounge (ED 127) in the shelf near the TV room.
